In April 2016 the European Commission announced that political agreement had been reached on the agreed text for new EU-wide data protection legislation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The GDPR will replace the Data Protection Act 1998 and usher in a new regime for the protection of personal information relating to European citizens.

Brodies' Data Protection and Information Law team is already supporting clients to help them ensure that they are compliant with the GDPR when it comes into force in 2018.

You will find insights, details for upcoming seminars and useful documents on this hub, but if you have questions about how the GDPR will affect you and your business, contact us.
