Family Law

I am very pleased to announce that the Family Law team at Brodies has been recognised in the recently published Chambers and Partners Family/Matrimonial: High Net Worth UK Guide to the Legal Profession. We are proud to be the only Scottish firm listed in this section of Chambers and one of the few firms outwith London. One commentator described the team as “The market leaders in Scotland” and another talks of it being “Superior in client service and knowledge” . My colleague, Scott Cochrane is ranked individually, reflecting his “reputation for international work”.

The Family Law Team at Brodies continues to go from strength to strength with the promotion of Susie Mountain to Associate and the recent recruitment of Garry Sturrock as Senior Solicitor and also Kate Bradbury and Lisa Reilly as Solicitors. It is particularly gratifying for me to see former trainee, Susie progress to Associate so quickly and another former trainee, Rachael Latcham complete her training as a Collaborative Family lawyer. The team now comprises four partners, five Associates, two Senior Solicitors, one solicitor and six dedicated support staff. We are able to offer a Scotland wide service and the full range of dispute resolution options for clients as well as advising on complex cross border jurisdictional matters.

Whilst this Chambers’ ranking is based on our involvement in high value and high profile cases, the size of our team allows us to deal with a wide range of family cases cost effectively and efficiently.
