In recent years, both public authorities, and companies operating in the waste sector, have needed to adapt to a rapidly changing policy and regulatory framework for the reduction, management, treatment and disposal of waste. This process seems set to continue for the foreseeable future, as the Scottish Government implements its 'zero waste' policy.
At Brodies, we have significant 'end-to-end' experience in this field, having advised local authorities and bidders on the procurement of waste management services and infrastructure. These have included recycling facilities, residual treatment facilities and waste disposal facilities, and long-term waste management services contracts.
