Procurement
Public procurement law is changing more quickly today than ever before. At the same time, procurement models themselves are becoming increasingly complex with the advent of new technology, and the public sector's needs for more complex relationships with the private sector in the delivery of public services. As a result compliance is an increasingly important issue for procuring authorities.
Our team has a breadth and depth of experience working with a wide range of public and private sector clients in all aspects and stages of the procurement process. We advise on compliance, risk minimisation, and, with colleagues from the public sector team, dispute resolution. We also advise on remedies and other potential avenues if bidders have been unfairly treated, and can provide independent assurances to project funders in respect of procurement law risk.
An important focus of our procurement advice is helping our public sector clients make the most of their procurements. This means not only advising on compliance but on how to generate and maintain competition in the process to derive best value from the procurement. Our experience with the public sector helps us advise on our private sector clients on participation in procurement process and how best to frame a bid response.
