In recent years concern for the environment has marched relentlessly up the political agenda at all levels of government; a trend which shows no sign of slowing down. This has resulted in a rapidly changing, and increasingly complex regulatory framework.
We have considerable experience and expertise in environmental law, and our team includes two of the leading UK specialists in the field. We make it our business to keep abreast of the latest developments - at Scottish, UK and European levels - and specialise in helping clients navigate through the regulatory landscape.
Our work encompasses PPP and non-PPP projects in the waste and water sectors. Our expertise in this field has also seen our involvement in the procurement of the UK's first carbon capture and storage demonstration project, and more generally advising on the fast growing 'low carbon' agenda. The Group's expertise complements Brodies' wider environmental services, including contaminated land and planning, and its energy practice.
