At Brodies, our lawyers advise on both the regulatory requirements in the industry and on the procurement and financing of new energy infrastructure. We advise funders and developers on the development, procurement and financing of windfarm, biogas, biomass and hydro schemes. We also advise purchasers of mature and early stage renewables assets in the secondary market.
We work with public bodies and ESCOs (energy services companies) on community energy schemes, decentralised generation, and local distribution networks. Our practice in regulatory advice in the energy sector continues to grow and in particular is advising public bodies on implementing policies in the low carbon agenda, and developers and funders on their regulatory liabilities.
