Planning & Environment
Key strengths
Unlike other firms, Brodies has separate planning and environmental law teams. This ensures that clients benefit fully from genuine expertise and wide-ranging experience in both sectors.
Our keys to success are enthusiasm and commitment to get positive results for clients, approachability, focus and incisiveness.
Expertise
Both teams are ranked highly by the legal directories. Each has members accredited by the Law Society of Scotland for their specialist knowledge and experience. Two of our planning team are Legal Associates of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
What we can do for you
Our full service offer to both public and private sector clients includes expert advice on planning issues, environmental impact assessment, compulsory purchase, climate change, contaminated land, pollution controls and waste management.
Did you know...?
As well as working on the biggest brownfield sites in Scotland - the former Ravenscraig Steelworks and Bishopton Royal Ordnance Factory - the teams have been involved in projects throughout Scotland, including wind farms, hydro-electric plants, district heating systems, railways, motorways, housing, a distillery, a gold mine, quarries, and the Commonwealth Games Athletes Village in Glasgow.
Brodies has launched a new blog for discussion of planning news and issues. Please click here to access PlanningBlog.
