Our insurance and shipping practice continues to grow from strength to strength. With the arrival last year of a large team from a global law firm, our insurance and shipping practice now includes 4 partners and 20 lawyers across our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. We offer an unrivalled service across casualty, professional indemnity and shipping to major insurance companies, Lloyd's syndicates, captives, self insureds, brokers and loss adjusters and P & I clubs.
We have a commitment to changing the litigation landscape in Scotland for the benefit of our clients. We receive frequent praise from our clients for our ability to provide swift and cost effective resolutions of dispute despite the jurisdictional constraints in Scotland. We also work closely with our public law team, which undertakes strategic litigation on behalf of the insurance industry, most notably the challenge to the right of the Scottish Parliament to pass an Act to make Pleural Plaques compensatable.
