Pensions
We act for and advise a broad range of clients on all aspects of pensions law. We advise employers and trustees in relation to the full range of pensions issues including scheme documentation, pension scheme reorganisation and closure, scheme funding and winding up. We also work on pension issues in relation to corporate transactions and mergers, in both the public and private sectors.
Our client base has grown over the last 18 months to include trustees and employers of many private sector schemes and a significant proportion of public sector schemes. In the last year we also handled a number of high profile pensions issues, in particular on corporate deals. We have implemented innovative solutions for our clients: from withdrawal arrangements and apportionment of employer debt, to arranging alternative security for pension scheme trustees such as escrow, parent company guarantees or other contingent assets. We have also advised on pension scheme reorganisation and closure, scheme funding and winding up. We also have experience of acting in contentious matters including disputes before the Pensions Ombudsman, Employment Tribunals and the Courts.
