Lewis joined Brodies as an associate in March 2024. Prior to joining Brodies, Lewis had substantial experience as an in-house solicitor with the Government Legal Service for Scotland dealing with a large variety of both advisory and litigation matters. Lewis has built up a detailed working knowledge of administrative, public and human rights law.

Lewis is an experienced litigator and has acted as instructing solicitor in many Court of Session cases, including judicial reviews, procurement challenges, statutory appeals and petitions to the nobile officium. He also has experience as the instructing solicitor in a number of cases in the UK Supreme Court. In addition, he has also appeared for clients in the sheriff courts and several statutory tribunals in a variety of cases involving aspects of property registration, social security and immigration. He has extensive experience of litigation involving cross-border elements and working with lawyers in jurisdictions outside of Scotland.
