Lexi Waller and Keanna MacInnes both won gold medals for Scotland at the Geneva international Meet last weekend - this week they are both aiming to put Firrhill High School on the map at Brodies Scottish School Championships in East Kilbride.
Friday, January 25 will be a full day of action packed swimming at the Dollan Aquatics Centre and Lexi and Keanna will be chasing title doubles in the 15-16 years category.
Two years ago, they both broke records in the 13-14 years section at the Brodies Championships staged at Aberdeen Sports Village.
Lexi lines up in the 100m and 200m backstroke, while Keanna is n her favourite 100m and 200m butterfly.
In the breaststroke, Kyle Academy sisters, Erin and Katie Robertson, will be hoping to make it a great sister's double act. Erin is favourite to win the 17-19 100m and 200m - Katie is tipped to do the same in the 15-15 years.
Archie Goodburn (Stewart's Melville College) is a former top award winner in the boys' category - and the Edinburgh youngster has chosen to chase gold in the 15-16 years 200m individual medley and the 200m butterfly.
For Ina MacLeod (Harris Academy) the goal is to repeat last year's double in the freestyle - this year she is fastest on paepr in the 13-14 years 100m and 200m.
Sophie Smith (Arbroath High School) seeks the same double in the 15-16 years and Strathallan's Scott McLay hopes to do likewise in the boys' 17-19 years.
Pupils from all over Scotland are competing in the annual event that is a highlight of the Scottish schools' programme. Gold medals from the Championships are among the most prized possessions of all swimmers.
