UK top 50 and leading Scottish law firm Brodies LLP announces the appointment of five new partners in its latest round of internal promotions.

Aberdeen-based oil and gas lawyer, Laura Petrie, makes the step up to partner, along with, personal and family solicitor, Jessica Flowerdew, corporate and commercial lawyers Grant Strachan and Robert Ross, and real estate lawyer, Danny George.

Brodies has nearly 800 colleagues working across its offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverness, Glasgow and London, a 3% increase on the previous year.

This latest announcement comes as Brodies finalises plans for the refurbishment of its Aberdeen and Glasgow offices. These investments follow the firm's move to new offices in Capital Square in Edinburgh and Cradlehall Business Park, Inverness in 2022.

The refurbished Aberdeen and Glasgow offices will reflect those new offices, which are designed to support and optimise colleague wellbeing, as well as creating modern, flexible workspaces that will enhance collaborative working with clients. The refurbishments are planned to complete in the Autumn.

Brodies managing partner Nick Scott, said: "In our 2021 – 2024 strategic plans we set out to make progress in all areas of our firm. Our latest partner promotions underpin that progress and are testament to the resilience and ambition of our clients, be they businesses, organisations or individuals. I wish Laura, Jessica, Grant, Robert and Danny well in their new roles.

"The continued investment in our premises also reflects our strategic plans. We have seen, first hand, the positive impact that our Edinburgh and Inverness offices have made in providing excellent spaces for our clients and colleagues to work together."
