Recruiting international workers – what employers need to know

UK immigration rules have changed significantly over the last year or so due to the end of the Brexit transition period. At the same time many employers find it difficult to source the skills they need from the local workforce.

This event ran in conjunction with Inverness Chamber of Commerce and gave employers the information they need to be able to recruit international workers. Brodies' Employment & Immigration partners Fiona Herrell and Elaine McIlroy discussed:

• sponsorship under the skilled worker route;

• the graduate route visa;

• youth mobility visas;

• frontier worker permits;

• changes to right to work checks; and

• future changes to the immigration system from spring 2022.
