Your Traineeship
A traineeship at Brodies will provide you with the right skills to develop and own your career. It will equip you with the legal expertise and acumen necessary to become a solicitor who provides a high standard of service to clients.
Your traineeship will consist of three different placements each lasting eight months. During your traineeship you will be able to choose from seats within Banking, Corporate, Litigation, Private Client and Property. One of your three placements will be in our market leading property department.
At Brodies we like to get to know our clients well so that we fully understand their business and can offer a high standard of service to them. That is why we offer secondment opportunities. A selection of our recent trainees have worked with some of our key clients. These include a number of large financial institutions..
Brodies continues to go from strength to strength and now has offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow. As a trainee you will have the opportunity to work from both of these locations. This will help you further your experience and knowledge. We will of course assist you in making informed decisions about the departments you wish to work in and help you consider your longer term career goals.
You will be involved in quality work right from the start of your traineeship ranging from client contact, involvement in a property deal to preparing papers for court. We will do our best to keep you busy and you can be assured that there will be little time spent at the photocopier!
